New faces at National Office Todd Shelton | 2/19/2004 Staff changes at National Administrative Office, KAOEF and Fraternity Housing CorporationSince the last issue of the Journal, there have been several staff changes at the Kappa Alpha Order National Administrative Office.
Denise Freidhoff has been hired as the director of financial operations for the National Administrative Office. She will work directly with the Executive Director and Donna Vass, director of accounting and finance.
Denise is originally from Chicago, Ill., but has lived all over the United States. She and her husband Brian recently moved to Lexington. He is stationed at the Virginia Military Institute.
She was most recently an accounting instructor at VMI. Previously, she was an associate with Resources Connection and was the chief financial officer for Sunwest Communications. Denise earned her bachelors degree in business from Columbia University and her MBA from Webster University. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Florida.
Early on, Denise spent some time as a chef. She made a change in careers because, as she says, “I like to count beans more than I like to cook them.”
Cas Heilman has left the staff to work in real estate in Tuscon, Arizona. Jesse Lyons, who was chapter development consulant, has been promoted to director of chapter development to fill Cas’ position.
Mary Irish, who many will remember as Larry Wiese’s former assistant, has moved back to Lexington, after spending about three years in Maine. She has rejoined the KA staff as the receptionist.
T. C. McCoy has transitioned from the National Administrative Staff to the staff of the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation. She will assist in various aspects of the foundations operations. Also, Libby Dunlap has left the KAOEF staff.
Stiles leaves FHC for COO position in Texas
The Fraternity Housing Corporation has also experienced a staff change. Graham Stiles has left his role as director of properties to assume the position of chief operating officer for Empire Property Group, LLC, in College Station, Texas. Christine Colonna has been hired to fill the properties position. Like Graham, she will hold the same position with Delta Delta Delta National Housing Corporation.
Most recently, Christine was the Financial Specialist for TriDelta’s housing corporation. Prior to joining the staff at TriDelta, she secured loans, built the facility and created Raceworx, a builder of racing engines, chassis, forks and suspension.
She earned her bachelor of arts degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. |
