KA dads welcomed Todd Shelton | 6/29/2004 Many members of the National Administrative Staff had the opportunity to welcome their fathers to Lexington for a Dad’s WeekendWrapping up the school year, many members of the National Administrative Staff had the opportunity to welcome their fathers to Lexington, Va., for a Dad’s Weekend. The men having been elected to membership by active chapters, the staff had the honor of participating in their own father’s initiation.
“It was a great experience to share the ritual with my dad,” said Brent Fellows, director of educational programming. “He taught me the same chivalric principles growing up. It was awesome to show him the same ideals but in a ritualistic fashion.”
“The experience definitely brought me even closer to my father by being able to share the Kappa Alpha ritual,” Fellows added.
The following father’s participated in the weekend: Fred M. Carr, Stephen P. Fellows, James A. McFarland, Steven W. Sheaffer, Ronald J. Uehlein, Larry A. Wilson and James W. Worboys. Staff members on hand included: Ethan Bush, Andrew Carr, Brent Fellows, Jeremy Gillespie, Stewart Harvey, Jesse Lyons, Chad McFarland, Mitch Scheaffer, Ryan Uehlein, Michael Wilson and Ashley Worboys.
