realigns Berryman, Locke, Mikell and Walsh Provinces

In order to facilitate better management by the province commanders who serve chapters in the southwest and west, the Advisory Council passed a resolution at their meeting in Austin, Texas, in August which realigns Berryman, Locke, Mikell and Walsh Provinces. The realignment is as follows:

  1. Redefines Locke Province as the state of Oklahoma with four active chapters
  2. Adds the state of New Mexico to Berryman Province, making Berryman consist of Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico with six active chapters and currently one provisional chapter
  3. Divides the western Texas portion of the previous Locke Province between Mikell and Walsh Provinces.
  4. Redefines Mikell and Walsh boundaries so that all of the state of Texas is covered by these two provinces. Establishing the boundary between between Mikell and Walsh by extending the north/south boundary between New Mexico and Texas (the 32nd parallel) eastward to the Texas/Louisiana border. This moves the current Mikell/Walsh boundary north so that the provisional chapter at Stephen F. Austin University becomes a Walsh chapter. This gives Walsh Province six active chapters and two provisional chapters. Mikell Province adds two previous Locke chapters in northwest Texas (Gamma Sigma and Gamma Chi). This gives Mikell Province eight active chapters.
