Associate Directors

Associate Directors are members of the Order's field staff team. This vital team consist of one Associate Director for Chapter Development and four Associate Directors for Chapter Services. As an associate directors you become the organization's eyes and ears . You will work with undergraduate and alumni members of the Order every day.  This day in, day out communication with our members makes the associate director's role one of the fraternity's most important.

Requirements

   • Membership in Kappa Alpha Order;

   • Completion of a bachelor’s or advanced degree;

   • Relocation to Lexington, Virginia;

   • Agree to a minimum one-year commitment;

   • Have a reliable vehicle for travel;

   • Possess good written and verbal communication skills;

   • A desire to strength the Order and your future.

 

The Associate Director for Chapter Development (ADCD) is supervised by the Director of Chapter Development and Director of Educational Programming. The duties of the ADCD include: 

   • Assist with the development and execution of the Order's programs;

   • Provide on the ground support to expansion efforts;

   • Visit, audit and provide resources to provisional chapters;

   • Assist in the Order's overall recruitment efforts;

   • Assist with The Crusade the Order's four-year educational program;

   • Partner with undergrads, alumni and university officials;

   • Assist in the development, editing and compiling of manuals and guides.

 

The Associate Director for Chapter Services (ADCS) is supervised by the Director of Chapter Services. The duties of an ADCS include:

   • Assist with the development and execution of the Order's programs;

   • Develop and maintain a travel schedule to service 30+ undergraduate chapters;

   • Visit, audit and provide resources to undergraduate chapters; 

   • Partner with undergrads, alumni and university officials;

   • Assist in risk management investigation and sanctioning processes;

   • Assist in the development, editing and compiling of manuals and guides.
