The 63rd I's Leadership Institute (NLI) is set to take place at the Caraway Conference Center located in Sophia, North Carolina on January 4-6, 2008.
The I's Leadership Institute is an intensive informational and educational retreat set at an upscale Christian conference center. The facility and premises are alcohol free which provides a learning atmosphere for the intense two and a half day conference. The focus of the Institute is to educate and empower the No. I's to understand their role and responsibility as the chapter's highest elected officer, recognize the tools and support systems provided, and to understand the standards and policies of operating an active chapter of Kappa Alpha Order.
Dates to Remember:
-Elections held between Nov. 1 - Dec. 1 (9-112)
-Online Registrations due December 3rd (Once you register, we will purchase your ticket so that we can get the cheapest flight)
-Project Outreach online report due Dec. 5th (located with online registration)
-Report 10 Chapter Annual Report due Dec. 5th (go to online reporting)
-National Awards Application must be postmarked by Dec. 24th or hand delivered at NLI
Please bring the following:
-Official Fall 2007 Chapter Grade report
-Roster of chapter members including email addresses and phone numbers
-Receipt of the customs of the Order
-Budget for the Spring semester
-No. I's Jewel
January 4th (Travel Day)
-Flight arrivals - Airport shuttle located in baggage claim
-Driving - Please arrive by 4:00 PM EST
The mission of the I's Leadership Institute is to effectively and efficiently educate the Order's newly elected I's on the mission, vision, and policies of the Order.
